Jagriti Girls Home in Delhi was established in 2005 which has provision to provide shelter with safe & hygienic accommodation, quality education in reputed schools of the city, balanced diet, healthcare facilities, recreational facilities and strong feelings of family love and protection to destitute and vulnerable girls from urban slums and rural poor families. Because of social prejudice and vulnerable environment against girl child, the focus is to provide girls a homely atmosphere of love, security and quality education so that they can become self-reliant and role model for the society.
Currently girls between 6 to18 years of age group are staying in the Children’s home, many of them were rag pickers roaming around garbage dumps in the city with no shelter or no one to love and care for them. Now all of them are studying in reputed English Medium Secondary Schools in Delhi.
